Holistic method to nurture your child’s musicality from birth!

With Magical Music Method, you’ll:

  • Make music a natural part of your daily life, without pressure or overwhelm

  • Feel confident guiding your young child’s musical journey, even if you never studied music

  • Create meaningful rituals and memories rooted in rhythm, story and connection

  • Strengthen your child’s brain through playful, aural and movement based learning

  • Use solfège and hand signs, inspired by Kodály’s world-renowned philosophy, to help children internalize music - something most music classes overlook in the early years

  • Watch your child grow in creativity, focus, confidence and joy

Instead of hoping they’ll “pick it up later”, you’ll know that you’ve given your child the very best start!

Learning in the early years should be filled with imagination, play, and wonder, not pressure or rush. Inspired by Waldorf education and rooted in the natural unfolding of childhood, Magical Music Method embraces a slow, joyful approach to learning. Through storytelling, song, and movement, children engage with music in the way they learn best - through play.

Because when children play, they feel. And when they feel, they remember. Story captures a child’s imagination like nothing else, and that’s why each musical note is introduced through its own fairy-tale-style story and hand-painted watercolor card. These gentle visuals and poetic narratives help bring music into the imagination of the child! And in that space where play meets purpose… the magic begins.

Magical

Holistic

Many parents feel unequipped to teach music, especially if they never received formal training themselves. But here’s the truth: your voice, your presence, and your love make you your child’s most powerful music teacher. Children don’t learn in isolated subjects or neat boxes. They learn with their whole being - through movement, voice, touch, rhythm, and play.

That’s why Magical Music Method takes a whole-body, whole-child approach to music. Rather than separating learning from life, this method weaves music into the natural rhythms of your day; making it meaningful, memorable, and joyful. You don’t need to be a musician to raise one. This method will gently guide you as you nurture your child’s musicality, using your own voice, hands, and heart.

The most critical window for developing a child’s musical ear, sense of pitch, and rhythmic fluency is from birth to age 6 or 7. Yet these are the very years when most children receive little to no formal music education. In early childhood, the brain is building millions of neural connections every second and pruning the ones it doesn’t use. If the musical pathways aren’t activated early and consistently, they begin to fade. That’s why early aural learning is essential.

Just as children learn to speak by hearing language first, they learn music best by hearing and experiencing it with their whole body, long before reading notes or playing instruments.

Magical Music Method was created by a professional musician and music educator - first and foremost as a gift to her own children. It’s designed to help you give your child what the brain is most ready to receive: daily, meaningful musical experiences that wire the foundation for a lifetime of learning, creativity, and joy.

Impactful

Humans are wired to be sensitive to sound patterns, and this sensitivity allows music to foster communication and imagination in young children. (Dr. Dennie Palmer Wolf, Why Making Music Matters) Scientists have been studying the effects of music and it’s role in aiding the development of the brain. A study in 2005 (Gromko) showed that children who receive musical training will develop aural skills for spoken sounds and words faster than children who did not receive musical instruction. We believe that music in of itself, is intrinsically beneficial to everyone and provides a richness to life that everyone should receive. We don’t need to read about higher IQ’s and faster language acquisition to know that learning music is impactful. Our hearts tell us this already. However, it is fascinating to learn about the positive effects music has on the brain and body.

“I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning.” Plato

Importance of Music

Music and Creativity

In studies, most parents have polled they would like their child to learn a music instrument. Numerous studies have shown the positive effects of learning and playing music on the brain, and even physical markers such as reduced stress and emotional regulation. To set up children for success in learning a musical instrument, the critical years of birth to age six/seven is where the most rapid brain growth happens and where pitch recognition can be instilled easiest. By using our Magical Music Method you are making the most of this special time in your child’s development. Learning music will LITERALLY change the way your child’s brain makes connections, deciphers information and creates! You will foster neural pathways and connections in your child’s brain that could open an endless array of possibilities!

Methodology

Magical Music Method was created by a professional musician, music educator of over 20 years, and mom of three, for her own children and draws on many cultural influences, the music methods of Kodály, and Delacroze and the educational philosophies of the Waldorf education and Classical education. In much the same way that children learn to talk by absorbing the speech around them, musical pitches can be organically taught in the same way by YOU. Parents don’t need to be broadway singers or classical pianists to teach their kids musical concepts that can have life changing positive effects for the rest of their life. This method will show you that it only takes a few minutes in a day and the materials can be as simple as your own voice and hands. Simple instructional videos for parents and caregivers and beautiful downloads make this method a joy to teach! Our method aims to excite the imagination and foster a beautiful musical journey between child and parent!
